The hospital as a credible digital information source for health topics - a recipient-oriented investigation

The research project examines the question of the credibility and trustworthiness of hospitals in medical/health issues in general and in the online sector in particular.
In addition, selection and gratification theory is used to investigate whether credibility in real life can also be transferred directly to the online sector. Fact ist hat hospitals leave their core competences - namely medical know-how and advice - to various, partly intransparent online health portals and do not or hardly get engaged in the digital sector.
