24.11.2020 | General
Career Services at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol offers presentations, workshops and trainings about the topic of careers for students once per year. This year the Career Days took place virtually for the first time.

Career Services at the university of applied sciences in Kufstein supports students during their study program when it comes to their career and prepares them as well as possible for their entry into professional life. The Career Days that take place once annually in November contribute to this. This offer is geared toward every student regardless of their study program or study phase.

The virtual Career Days offer

In addition to online lectures, anyone who was interested was able to take full advantage of the virtual career events that were offered that week since one event was offered per day. On the first day, the students received helpful tips for their resumes at the “CV Check” and were able to have their resumes checked by personnel managers. On day two, there was an exciting presentation for the participants about “salary negotiations.” In the middle of the week, those who were interested received an insight into the topic of “personal branding.” “I personally was able to take away a little something from every presentation, which I will be able to especially use in my last year at the university of applied sciences. Since I am already in the application process for next year, I will be able to immediately use some of the helpful tips, especially about personal branding,” said a student at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol.

On day four, the participants were able to find out in the workshop “Am I the entrepreneurial type” whether they are able to consider starting a business. The last day dealt with the topic of “How do I find my dream job?” The presentation gave the students a good idea about their possible dream job and will help them be able to select mandatory electives during their study program in a more targeted way. “In order to get clarity about your search for your dream job, you first have to ask yourself questions about your personal talents, strengths, circumstances and the things about you that are unique. The goal of my presentation was to help the students develop this foundation,” said Nadja Satzger, independent personnel expert.
