Graduates of the bachelor study program “Energy & Sustainability Management” are in demand as specialists in the following core sectors: energy & sustainability consulting institutions, energy supply companies, energy-intensive industries, public institutions, energy agencies, energy trading companies, energy distribution companies and business consultancies.
Consulting offices are looking for qualified personnel for the assessment of sustainable energy production and distribution options as well as for energy management support for the development of customer projects. Generally, consulting offices also work on fundamental questions of energy management and sustainability, strategy and concept development and the creation of potential analyses and feasibility studies.
Possible task areas for energy supply companies encompass a broad range of sectors such as electricity, gas, district heating as well as environmental and energy services. For example in the field of electricity, services range from sustainably producing, transporting and distributing electricity via trade to procurement and sales.
Distribution companies develop specifically tailored energy-relevant services and products for customer segments for which technical solutions, profitability calculations and respective contracts are to be prepared. Ultimately, the products are to be presented to the customer and accountability is to be assumed.
