Occupational profiles of graduates

The graduates of the “Industrial Engineering & Management” bachelor degree program are specialists who are much in demand in the following core industries: construction industry, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, electrical engineering and electronics companies, energy sector, equipment manufacturers, consumer and industrial goods production, mechanical engineering and plant engineering, public sector, transport and logistics industries.

In product management the tasks of the graduates range from initial design through prototype development, market studies, production, sales and distribution to after sales management.

The graduates’ main areas of responsibility in the field of quality and project management are planning and organizing all activities concerned with improving the products, processes and services of a company as well as managing the product processes from process initiation through planning, implementation and controlling to project completion.

In the field of product development/design graduates work on the development of new products or on the design of products including development, transition from prototyping to production and finally production. Researching components and materials for product development and design, in particular with computer-aided tools using rapid prototyping technologies, is also in their area of responsibility.
