2020 Kufstein WinterCongress on trending management issues
The Kufstein FM & REM WinterCongress at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol is organized by the Facility & Real Estate Management study programs and has become an important place for researchers and businesses to meet. Because of its international orientation, the WinterCongress is a unique networking platform in Tirol. At the 22nd Kufstein WinterCongress, five experts shared their knowledge in short presentations with the international audience.
Interaction between humans & digitization
Asc. University of Applied Sciences Professor Dipl.-Ing. Christian Huber, director of studies of the Facility & Real Estate Management study programs at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol opened the congress with his presentation on the topic of humans & digitization. He showed viewpoints from real life and research and critically considered applications of sensor technology. After this successful introduction to interaction between humans and digitization, University of Applied Sciences Professor Dr. Roman Stöger, professor for Strategic Company Management at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol went into the topic area of managing digitization. Stöger presented in a manner that was rhetorically and technically brilliant to show how to implement a digitization strategy in companies. The next speaker Prof. Dr. René Schmidpeter from the foundation chair of Dr. Jürgen Meyer for International Business Ethics and CSR in Cologne continued with the topic of “from strategy to implementation” and reported on sustainable management as a success factor.
Dr. Roman Kopetzky, Berger Beteiligungs GmbH, rounded out the area of human resource management by his presentation “Talent search on the edge of the Silver Society” and by the program. He did an impressive job of showing the status quo in the area of the war for talents and took the participants along on a walk through globally implemented measures to appeal to new employees. As the highlight of the presentations, Nils Bäumer used a lot of charm and humor to talk about the importance of creativity today. As a guest gift, all of the participants were glad to get his book “Creativity at the Push of a Button.”
Award as a Tirol basic green event
The Kufstein WinterCongress is to take a leading role for events, and in line with the sustainability strategy of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol, it decided to make the organization and implementation of the congress more sustainable. “We are very proud that we received an award as a Tirol basic green event and were still able to offer our guests the normal high standard of service. In 2021, we will also organize the Kufstein WinterCongress in a sustainable way and will strive for an award. We were especially happy to see the support from our guests who changed their plans and followed our request to come with the train instead of their cars,” said Sabrina Eitzinger MA, university lecturer for Facility Management & Sustainability.
Events in February 2021
Look forward to 2021 as well, and anticipate an exciting congress on trending management topics in 2021, high-quality speakers, and networking opportunities. On 02/25/2021, the Facility & Real Estate Management study program area will hold its cross-sector event. The Kufstein FM & REM WinterCongress is part of the Facility & Real Estate Management event trilogy that the FM & REM BusinessConversation and the FM & REM WinterSchool belong to, and they will take place again in February 2021.
