19.06.2018 | Research
The third project meeting of Labs.4.SMEs was held on May 28 and 29, 2018 in Kufstein. The research project endeavors to strengthen cooperation between SME and Labs and promote technological innovations.

The involved partners convened at FH Kufstein Tirol for the project meeting: The lvh.apa Association of Tradespeople and Service Providers from South Tirol, the further training and service agency of associations of tradespeople and SME in Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia ECIPA, FABLAB Castelfranco Veneto, Confartigianato Trieste, FH Kufstein Tirol and Salzburg Research.

Interreg promotion for innovative projects

The goal of the project meeting was also to define the registration procedure and process of InnoChallenges. InnoChallenges are innovative cooperative projects between SME and Fablabs that are financed through the Interreg project. Companies can submit project applications until July 3 via the web platform www.exploreinnospaces.eu. With this meeting, the project partners also enhanced the collaboration and visibility of the project.

Digital innovation lab in Kufstein

Within the context of the meeting, participants also viewed and tested exhibits, which the Kufstein polytechnic uses in research and development. Thus, guests digitally flew over the Alps with the ICAROS system or viewed augmented or virtual reality applications. Project partners had the opportunity to experience and test virtual or augmented reality applications with intelligent glasses in a live demonstration.

The project Labs.4.SMEs is promoted by the European Fund for Regional Development and Interreg V-A Italy-Austria 2014-2020. The next project meeting takes place in November 2018 in Trieste.
