In detail this meant to de­velop a concept with a focus on technology use in winter sports resorts. The aim was to reach the main target groups, researchers and non-researchers, within the DACH re­gion including South Tyrol. The development of the concept included creating the scien­tific program and social activities. Moreover, excursions to winter sports events venues were integrated in the schedule to make the congress a link between theory and praxis. The feedback and input the group received during the development phase among oth­ers from the tourism board Kufsteinerland, were put together to a coherent concept.
