Certifications

Certifications provide confirmation of conformity with specified standards and offer future users and the university’s stakeholders guidance and security in their choice of institution.

By undergoing certification with the ECTS & DS labels, Kufstein University of Applied Sciences visibly demonstrates its excellence in implementing and applying the principles of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulations System (ECTS). Certification as a “Family friendly university” confirms our intensive engagement with these issues. Last but not least, the SPIN quality seal assures graduates of this language program that they have been taught in compliance with international standards on language training.

Quality Audit

The Kufstein University of Applied Sciences passed its institutional assessment in 2010 and received accreditation for an unlimited period according to § 23 of the Act on Quality Assurance in Higher Education (HS-QSG). To that effect the Institution has to perform a Quality Audit according to § 22 HS-QSG which has to be carried out once every six years. The Kufstein University of Applied Sciences’ first Quality Audit was conducted by the agency evalag and successfully completed in 2016. The Quality Audit focuses on institutional quality management in relationship to single core and key areas of a higher education institution. In addition, the Quality Audit supports the university in further developing its internal quality management.

The evalag audit is based on the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG), international auditing practice and the Act on Quality Assurance in Higher Education (HS-QSG) as amended.

Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance

The Kufstein University of Applied Sciences disposes the „Standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG)“. The ESG are used by institutions and quality assurance agencies as a reference document for internal and external quality assurance systems in higher education. Engagement with quality assurance processes, particularly the external ones, allows European higher education systems to demonstrate quality and increase transparency, thus helping to build mutual trust and better recognition of their qualifications, programmes and other provision.

“University and family” audit

hochschuleundfamilie Label

Better compatibility of work and family life is a key issue in modern societies. In order to make everyday organization and life-planning easier for employees and students, Kufstein University of Applied Sciences dedicates itself intensively to the issue of what makes a family-friendly university.
