2017 ranking of universities of applied sciences: FH Kufstein again in pole position in facility management
Young, highly skilled and experienced – this is the profile companies are looking for in their employees. And this is what the FH Kufstein Tirol expects from its graduates. Every year, “Industriemagazin”, in cooperation with the online market research institute meinungsraum.at, conducts a comparative analysis of Austrian universities of applied sciences and publishes the results in the "FH Ranking". About 641 HR managers were asked to rate 318 study programs in the fields of engineering and economics at 18 Austrian universities of applied sciences, using Austrian school grades. With a total score of 2.41 (average of all assessed study programs), the FH Kufstein Tirol is among the top 10 Austrian universities of applied sciences.
A hotspot for facility management training
The FH Kufstein Tirol is a magnet for facility management training. With a result of 2.13, the Facility and Real Estate Management Master's program is the leading program in this category. The Facility and Real Estate Management Bachelor's program ranks third with a total score of 2.31.
The Master's program achieved an outstanding overall result – only seven Austrian universities of applied sciences are ahead of the FH Kufstein Tirol in this year's ranking. The Facility Management program has defended its lead (first and second place) in the FH Ranking since 2013.
"We are very happy that our graduates and their skills are valued by HR managers in Austria," Prof. (FH) Dr. Thomas Madritsch concluded. The CEO Managing Director of the FH Kufstein Tirol was the Director of Facility Management Studies for many years. "It makes me really happy to see that the labor market has given our study programs such an excellent rating."
Good results for economics programs
Five study programs of the FH Kufstein Tirol achieved very good results in the "management and general business studies" category. The International Business Studies Bachelor's program ranks fourth out of 54 Austrian study programs in this field.
In the "marketing, communication" category, the programs of the FH Kufstein Tirol achieved the eighth place (Marketing & Communication Management Bachelor's program) and the twelfth place (Digital Marketing Master's program), respectively, out of all 24 assessed study programs. This is an excellent result and a great feedback from the labor market, as both programs are rather new, and graduates only entered the labor market in 2013 and 2015, respectively.
