Kufstein24 - A Sporty Day throughout Kufstein
On April 23, 2022, Kufstein24 - Sport around the clock took place for the fifth time. The 24-hour sports event was organized and carried out by a project team from the Sports, Culture & Event Management degree program on behalf of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol. This year, Kufstein24 was finally able to take place again on site in Kufstein after two years of pandemic-related online events.
Varied sports program
In addition to sports stations and workshops where the different sports activities could be actively tried out, there were also various lectures and shows. The numerous participants explored 48 different athletic activities at 20 separate locations. From beach volleyball to pole dance and aerial yoga to climbing, the event had something to offer for all sports enthusiasts. In total, the different sports stations resulted in 156 hours of athletic engagement for the participants. The center for the sports program was the city of Kufstein. The sports stations at the Kufstein Fortress were a special highlight here. Activities outside the city center were also offered and included events such as rowing on the Hechtsee or the sunrise hike to the Weinbergerhaus.
Sports for big and small
Kufstein24’s motto this year was “Sport for young and old.” The aim of the project team was to motivate everyone - from small children to students to adults and seniors - to do sports and to offer a day full of sports and fun. A special focus this year was on the families to become active together. Thus, the event included 12 stations especially designed and recommended for children so that little sports fans could be actively engaged in Kufstein 24 – Sport around the clock.
